INTERACT is an interdisciplinary research center focused on the application of network science to social systems. As an interdisciplinary group we are interested in different approaches and applications of social network methods and theories.
Members of the center come from disciplines as diverse as industrial engineering, psychology, business administration, education, economics and sociology. We apply network theory to contexts such as healthcare, education, team performance, cooperation, labor markets and market competition, by using methodologies that range from empirical methods to mathematical and computational tools.
As a group we intend to share knowledge about networks theories, both in terms of scientific relevance as well as real interventions to improve the performance of social systems.
